For more than five decades, Delorice’s Florist has been a meaningful part of the Douglas, Georgia community. The business began in 1968, when Mrs. Delorice opened the shop with a vision of providing beautiful, high-quality florals for the moments that matter most. Over her 30 years as owner and designer, she helped families celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and holidays, while also offering comfort during life’s most difficult moments. Her dedication and eye for beauty laid the foundation for a business built on both artistry and trust.

Two decades ago, Mrs. Delorice’s grandson, Randy Wooten, carried the legacy forward. Randy’s talent as a designer quickly became known throughout the region, particularly through his extraordinary Christmas décor and seasonal displays. While growing the business, he also devoted time to educating and mentoring the next generation of floral designers through the National FFA Organization, sharing the craft he loved.

One of those students was Kara Vaughn Adams.

Kara trained under Randy for years while developing her own passion and talent for floral design, eventually becoming a state winner in floral design competitions. After graduating from Georgia Tech, Kara founded her own business, Kara Adams Designs, where she continued to refine her creative vision and reputation for exceptional work.

Today, Delorice’s Florist enters a new chapter under the ownership of Dawson Adams and Kara Vaughn Adams, who purchased the business on January 1, 2024. Together, they are honored to continue the legacy that began more than 50 years ago while thoughtfully expanding the shop into a modern floral and gift boutique.

Delorice’s now offers custom florals, wedding and event design, elegant home décor, curated gifts, and bridal registries, blending tradition with fresh inspiration. Every arrangement and carefully selected item reflects the same commitment to beauty, quality, and meaningful service that has defined Delorice’s since the beginning.
